Our Small Groups

Image goes here.
Life was never meant to be a “lone ranger” journey. God has made us all with a relational need to know and to be known. We believe that the best way to go deeper in these relationships is through our small groups. All of our small groups meet in people’s homes. Please join us for one or more of them throughout the week!

Home Groups
  • Clements’ home groupMeets every Monday at 7pm at the Clements’ (109 Juniper Way, Lake Villa, IL 60046). In 2017, we are beginning a study on the book of Romans.  Romans has been called "the greatest letter ever written."  It has changed the world by presenting God's truth in a way that changed the lives of the "giant's of faith", and countless ordinary folks like us.  Please join us and let God's Gospel of His Righteousness change your life.  See Karen or Brian or email Brian at brian@go2hope.org
  • Marriage home group—Meets Wednesdays at 7pm at The Quigley's.   We are beginning a new study on March 8th entitled,  “The Model Marriage”, by Focus on the Family.  Jesus modeled real love for His people on earth, leaving an example of self-sacrifice like none other.  In The Model Marriage, consider the roles of courage, strength, and nobility in a healthy marriage; uncover the mysterious power in that sticky word: submission; learn what it means to display a selfless spirit in marriage; and understand why you are called to love like Jesus in your relationship with each other. For more info, please contact Kelly Griffin (kelly@go2hope.org) or Beth Griffin.
  • Okamoto's home group Would you like a fresh breeze to blow in your marriage?  Do you long for a marriage where intimacy and communication are a reality instead of a dream?  Your marriage really can be positive, rich, intimate, and deeply satisfying.  In the DVD/small group series Experiencing God's Dream for Your Marriage by Chip Ingram, you'll learn what God's dream for your marriage looks like, how to identify the major barriers to intimacy and how to move past them, as well as how to deal with conflict and communicate more clearly and effectively with your spouse.  Join us on Thursday evenings 7-8:45pm in the Okamoto neighborhood beginning June 22nd.  For more info, please check your welcome card or contact Wayne (wayne@go2hope.org ).
Men’s Groups
  • Saturday Morning Men’s BreakfastThe men of Hope gather every other Saturday for breakfast, fellowship, study and pray. We will be going through BASIC, a DVD-based program from Francis Chan.  Trends come and go in our culture and the church seems to follow. BASIC is a seven-part series of short films that challenges us to reclaim the church as Scripture describes it to be. This series speaks to those who have questions about the church and to those who may have lost interest in the church.  What is church?  You are church.  I am church.   We are church.   So join us every other Saturday morning, 8-10 am at Gary Grant's home as we continue this engaging and thought-provoking series.  The teaching, the food, and the fellowship are open to all men! For more info contact Gary Grant (info@go2hope.org) or check the Hope calendar to find out the next meeting date (http://go2hope.org).
  • The Man Cave   A quarterly gathering of men. The Cave is where men just hang out and be men. It's a relaxed time (7-9pm) to eat some good grub and connect. There will be a short devotional and time to pray for one another.  The location varies.  For more info, contact Jim Blackwell at info@go2hope.org or check the Hope calendar to find out the next meeting date (http://go2hope.org/calendar).

Women’s Groups
  • Julie's Coffee Connection Hope women meet every Tuesday at 9 am at Julie’s Coffee in Lake Villa. (216 N. Milwaukee Ave.).  We get together to have coffee, smoothies, lattes, tea, a choice of some great breakfast pastries, a short devotional, and just have a great time!   For more info please contact Cindy Hoffmann or Karen Clements at info@go2hope.org.  Invite a friend!
  • Girls' Night OUT  We gather periodically for a time to connect with each other in a casual, fun setting! Please come to meet, eat & enjoy the company of other women of Hope from 7-9pm.  The location varies.  Please note the website calendar (http://go2hope.org/calendar) or our worship program for our next time together and location. For more info, please contact Karen Clements at info@go2hope.org.
  • Thursday Women’s Group Study  We will be going through the study "Ten Women of the Bible" by Max Lucado. We don't even know all their names. Some are referred to only by their nationality. Some are known only by the place where they lived. Some would become queens, while others would live on the fringes of society. One would give birth to a nation, and one would give birth to the Messiah. Their culture often overlooked or discounted the contributions of women, yet the writers of Scripture found these women and the role they played remarkable to the telling of God's story. In this 10-session workbook, Max Lucado tells some of his favorite accounts of these ten women--Sarah, Abigail, Esther, the Samaritan Woman, Mary Magdalene, and others--and describes what set them all apart. We will meet on Thursday nights at 6:45pm at Mel Now’s mother’s home.  For more info, contact Mel Now (info@go2hope.org).
Middle School & High School Students
  • LIGHT Student Ministry  Are you a student in grades 6-12 and desire a REAL encounter with your Father God, the Creator?  Our student ministry is called LIGHT and it stands for Liberty In God’s Hope for Tomorrow.  Our mission is to cultivate a loving environment where you can openly share life experiences, to plant the seeds of the gospel message, and then to equip you to reap a transformed life by following Jesus and becoming more like Him every day.  On Sunday mornings, students gather to discuss real-life issues from a Biblical perspective.   For more info, please contact Tony Raymond at youth@go2hope.org.
